Dr Jennifer Xu started working for Diamond Creek Medical Centre as a Registrar in February 2023! Jennifer is originally from Canberra but has spent the last 10 years living in Adelaide. Jennifer completed her MBBS at Adelaide University in 2018. From there she completed a few years in the hospital setting where she saw a range of presentations in the disciplines of medicine, surgery, obstetrics, paediatrics and psychiatry. Jennifer is excited by working under the guidance of the more experienced GP’s at DCMC. In her spare time she enjoys walking, listening to live music and café hopping. Jennifer would love to hear any suggestions of new places to try in Victoria!
Please be advised Dr Christine Li is currently on maternity leave and will be returning on Friday 15th September, 2023. Dr Christine Li started working for Diamond Creek Medical Centre in 2022! She completed the Bachelor of Pharmacy (Honour) degree at Monash University in 2010. After working as a clinical pharmacist for 2 years, she decided to take up the challenge of her professional career development and successfully graduated from Postgraduate Medical Degree in Geelong. Dr Christine has always had strong passion in primary healthcare, so soon after she finished her hospital training in Eastern Health she became a GP Registrar. Dr Christine’s special interests include chronic disease management, women’s health and paediatrics.
Dr Nathan Essey started working for Diamond Creek Medical Centre in February 2023! Nathan graduated with a Bachelor of Pharmacy in 2006 from the University of Sydney and went on to further study Medicine at the University of Notre Dame, Sydney in 2011. Since graduating he has worked in many major hospitals in Sydney and Rural NSW and Victoria, with many years of experience in Emergency Medicine and Surgery, particularly Ears, Nose and Throat problems. He also has a keen interest in digital health and teaching. Away from work, Nathan’s pride and joy is his family – his wife and 4 young children. He enjoys Rugby League (crazy Parramatta Eels fan), cycling and building things!
MBBS, FRACGP General Practitioner James started working for DCMC in 2012 as a registrar and then chose to continue on at the clinic full time. James enjoys the everyday challenges of general practice, and in particular enjoys working with the children and the elderly. Interests: General practice, Children’s health, Aged care.
Reshmi started her career as a General Practitioner in 2011 and completed her Fellowship in 2013. She has worked in Queensland, Hobart and now in Melbourne. Dr Reshmi specialises in skin cancer detection and management and currently works for GP and skin cancer clinics. She also has a keen interest in women’s and children’s health and aesthetic medicine. Dr Reshmi is available on Mondays and Wednesdays at DCMC.
Dr Mick Medon is a General Practitioner who brings with him 15 years of clinical experience, having previously worked in critical care, oncology, general medicine and general surgery. During this time, he went on to complete a PhD developing new treatment strategies for breast cancer through Melbourne University at the Peter MacCallum Cancer Centre. Mick feels that having this prior experience provides him with a particular ability to assist patients navigate their way through their confronting concerns. He is a compassionate, kind-hearted doctor who strives to always provide the best standard of medical care for his patients. Mick’s areas of interest include ADHD, wound care & managemen, health assessments, asthma management, respiratory management, chronic disease management, sporting injuries, acne, menopause, contraception, mental health, adolescent health, skin cancer management, aged care & diabetes management.
