Practice Accreditation

The practice is accredited (a process carried out every 3 years) and thus meets the standards expected of high quality general practice.

To be accredited, a general practice must provide the highest possible standards of patient care. The accreditation process involves a review of all systems, particularly:

• medical records
• drug and equipment storage
• sterilisation and infection control
• vaccine management
• emergency management
• staff education and training3

DCMC was most recently accredited in November 2010.
